| I have owned a tw3000 for almost 1 year, and I am very happy with it.
After building a dedicated media room, this projector fits my needs perfectly. I bought from "The good guys" at Carseldine, Brisbane, and got the unit for a great price of 00 Au
This was about 0.00 cheaper than anywhere else, so pays to shop around.
Media room spec. Fully insulated, air conditioned room. Carpet floor with extra underlay. Walls and ceiling paint with accent paint called "Toffy fingers, and front wall is accent paint called"Cubin coffee"
Room size: 6.1 meters x 3.1 meters.
I have recently made and installed a screen that was made from MDF board about 18 mil thick. This screen fills the front wall width and is about 1.9 meters from top down.
I have a 20 mil border around the screen.
Under the screen is a black unit that hoses electonics. Amp, Xbox, wii, blurry, etc. Full hd surround sound 7 speaker units that house 18 speakers in all.
Projector is ceiling mounted. At first I mounted it at exact center Don't do this. Take into account the lens is on side of projector. Not in centre of it. Projector is 5 meters back from screen and about 30cm down from ceiling. This set up fills screen completely at 4:3. I will upload pics if possible. Regards. Scott Magee. Brisbane |
| Problems: 1st lamp was a disappointment and only lasted 1100 hours. It burnt out. Have since air conditioned room, and clean filter of projector and air con every 2 weeks. |
